Regional Workshop:
Arusha, Tanzania, 16-18 October 2007
Ngurdoto Mountain Lodge
The Arusha Workshop was the final event in the 30-month DEA project which
started in 2005. The workshop’s purpose was to present and discuss the
results of the project in a broader context to stakeholders from the six
target countries as well as from other African countries. A total of 57
participants including representatives of 18 African countries attended the
workshop.
The Arusha
workshop was organised jointly by Risø and the Tanzanian partner
TaTEDO. representatives from 17 African
countries attended and the workshop was opened by the Tanzanian Minister of
Energy. The workshop was judged by all participants to be a success, and
there was broad support to maintain the present website and to create a
network for M&E and Impact Analysis of energy projects in Africa.
